World History:
This is a survey course which means I will give you a general overview of the periods of time from Pre-history to WWII during this year. We will talk about major ideas along with people/events and major concepts that translate from these periods.
The purpose of this course is to give you a background on the history of the world because the ideas, events, and people of the past have shaped the world that we live in today.
You will also be learning/using skills to help you in the future- study skills and strategies, listening, time management, organization, responsibility, and many others.'
Assignments will be posted on Google Classroom so it is important to check this daily to make sure you are prepared. It is essential if you are absent to check your Google Classroom so that you do not fall behind.
For projects a letter grade will be deducted each day it is late.
Cheating of any kind will result in a zero
You need a specific note book for World History
You need to have a folder or binder of some kind to keep your papers in. The Semester Final may be a cumulative test and previous notes and papers will help you study.

Extra Credit:
This will be an option from time to time as announced by me
There will also be several extra credit options I will go over with you as we progress through the first quarter.
Absences and Tests:
If you are absent from school for any reason it is your responsibility to get your make-up work and talk to me about what you missed if you have questions. Arrangements can be made to make-up tests or other work.
If a student is absent and misses assignments, the student will have two (2) school days per day of school missed to complete make-up work.
If you are absent for a test/project you must make it up with-in 7 school days of your return to school. After that you will receive a ZERO. For extended absences you can make arrangements with me in order to complete work or tests.
If you have the target review packet, then you will take the test pending special circumstances of prolonged absence.
